I am human. With that being said, I can openly admit that at times I have feelings that are not productive or positive. In some moments I feel abandoned and lonely. Other times I feel taken advantage of and taken for granted. Many times, even, I feel frustrated or annoyed. I have to sit back and assess where these feelings are coming from when I recognize them, and often times I can hear my mother's voice: "Decipher truth from feeling and think through what's really happening. Step back and see the entire picture." (More learned and taught lessons than verbatim advice) I take a long look at what I'm actually going through and what it truly is that's causing my feelings. Trust me, it's hard, but I'm getting better at it every day. I get less frustrated at one more frustrating thing and I laugh - almost a nervous laugh - at how small the majority of my frustrations are.
Feel what you need to feel when you need to feel it. Keep in mind, though, that everyone is feeling things from their own perspective. Shed some light on every angle of the situation. And remember, not everyone can eat chocolate, and that's sad enough - there's no need to spread more negative energy.
